7.8.50

This section presents the changes between the previous firmware version of Veronte Autopilot 1x, v.7.8.38, and this firmware version, v.7.8.50. For further details, please consult the Service Bulletin nº00027.

Added

  • New simulated sensor option
  • Bit variables 850 and 851 to write/read GPIOs A and B respectively
  • The possibility of simulate GPS time
  • I/O byte producers for U-blox messages coming directly from U-blox modules
  • Block for reading runway data, block for setting custom waypoint position and velocity, block for custom waypoing guidance
  • Blocks to cast from uint16 to bool and vice versa
  • Blocks to convert a bitmask to a uint16 and vice versa
  • Blocks to convert from yaw, pitch and roll rates into body angular rates (P, Q, R) and vice versa
  • Option to force the track reset when the active guidance block changes to one of the same type (example from cruise to cruise). This reset was already being done when changing between different guidances (example from landing to cruise)
  • Added desired state reset in swich between guidance blocks

Changed

  • ESTG documentation
  • Fixed an issue where the UAV could stop before reaching a waypoint when the waypoint reach speed (vpoint) was set to zero. The braking profile now correctly targets zero speed at the waypoint position when vpoint is zero rather than prematurely commanding a stop. This ensures the UAV always crosses the waypoint threshold regardless of the configured reach speed

Fixed

  • Number of deleted logs retrieved in response message
  • Logs in a same session saved in different files management
  • Tunnel was generating corrupted messages
  • Fix deserialization order of Latitude and Longitude to follow the ADSB_VEHICLE message defined by Mavlink
  • Remove ID configuration from updater
  • Communications encryption
  • Sensor error should be able to be recovered when all sensors are ok after one failed
  • Filter configuration in external sensor was reporting a false PDI error
  • Guidance flyto mode when the guidance block is overwritting the route flyby configuration
  • Computation of co-yaw, co-pitch, and co-roll in HIL navigation mode
  • Goto speed now uses the speed of the destination waypoint if the active guidance block is not overwritting the speed
  • Fixed an issue where the landing path could display a sharp corner instead of a smooth curve when the loiter position was configured as a waypoint (not as center). The path now correctly computes a tangent transition between the loiter orbit and the runway approach in all geometric configurations
  • STANAG Message 2019: Slave to Location. Fixed offset bearing and altitude calculation. The UA now correctly positions itself at the commanded bearing and distance from the reference location when in Slave to Location flight mode, instead of always offsetting to the north regardless of the configured direction
  • In the Custom Guidance Waypoint Set block the set speed shifted (the selected speed was being set in the next waypoint instead of the current one)
